Ellis Island Cartoons

Ellis Island Cartoons

We are learning about our heritage and how our ancestors came through Ellis Island. We read the ebook "Ellis Island: An Interactive History Adventure" book where we learned how people came to America and got to choose our own adventure. Then, we dressed as people from our country of heritage in the year 1894 and created cartoon strips with speech bubbles saying what we might be thinking back then. We used the apps Comic Book and Halftone.

I am a girl from Portugal and I wore a scarf over my head and  scarf around my neck. If I could bring only one thing from Portugal I would bring my dog, Beau. -Cookies and Cream

I am a girl from Poland and I wore dresses and a braided front to it. I would pack my dog if I had to leave to come to America. -Lemonhead

Here is our cartoon strip.....faces have been covered....
