In Project Cornerstone when we were working a big weeple came out of nowhere! The weeple we got was a giant sized weeple! We named him Fuzzball and he sits by our friend, Wendell and watches our class. He is really fuzzy!

Skittles Graphing in Math

We put skittles in color order first. We counted our skittles. Then we put them in a bar graph. We had to find the range of the data and the mode of the data and we had to pick two of the numbers of our skittles, the bigger one first and the smaller one last, then we subtracted those numbers to find how many more we had of one than the other. At the end we gobbled them up!

Graphing Time!

We did pizza graphing today. Our favorite pizza toppings were both pepperoni. Our least favorite was sausage and combo. We compared our graph with the other class and they did some different graphing than us. Their favorite pizza was cheese, not pepperoni. Their least favorite was ham. It was fun to compare the graphs and see what we both liked and disliked.

This is the estimation we blogged about.
Today in class we did centers. In centers we did missing addends, we read, we made Wanted Posters, we did mountain math and we made sentences. My favorite center was the missing addends because Mrs. A was here helping. ( from Wild and Reckless Ice Cream) My favorite center was Mountain Math because you get to learn. ( from Gum) We brought in the estimation jar and every week we have a star student and they get to put some things in the jar and you have to estimate how many things are in there. This week we have to guess licorice in the jar. On our Helping Hands poster we have jobs and the messenger is fun because he gets to bring things to the office and other classrooms. In math we did graphing today and the favorite ice cream our class liked was " other" and the least favorite was strawberry. Good bye until Friday.....
